9 Days: Best of Tanzania
Day 1
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet your guide & drive to Arusha for overnight.
Day 2
Drive to Tarangire National Park for game drive. Immerse yourself in a wonderful diversity of wildlife amidst the magnificent baobab trees doting this beautiful landscape. Overnight at a luxury tented lodge on top of the escarpment with the sweeping views across the perennial Tarangire river valley.
Day 3
Full day game drive in Tarangire park. Lunch by the beautiful Silale swamp while watching big herds of elephant cooling off in their natural swimming pool! Overnight at the luxury tented lodge after sundown.
Day 4
Enjoy your morning game drive as you depart Tarangire park enroute to a local Maasai village. Lunch at lake Manyara rift escarpment, followed by a drive to Ngorongoro highlands for overnight.
Day 5
Descend into the Ngorongoro crater (the earth's largest unbroken caldera) reputed to contain the highest density of carnivores. Be ready to be greeted and treated by cheetahs, leopards, lions, hyenas, jackals, black rhinos & big tuskers. Dinner and overnight at the rim of the crater.
Day 6
Navigate along the crater rim to the Tanzania's most renowned National Park, the Serengeti, home to the greatest concentration of large mammals on earth. Watch "the" world-famous migration of wildebeest & zebra. Overnight in Central Serengeti (Seronera Valley).
Day 7
An optional hot air balloon safari (in lieu of morning game drive) with champagne breakfast. Advance reservation is highly recommended to ensure space availability. Continue with an afternoon game drive followed by dinner at the lodge. 
Day 8
Travel west beyond Seronera river valley to the Western corridor. Visit Grumeti river region of the park, known for its Nile crocodiles. Grumeti is located in a lovely rolling hill & Acacia woodland habitat. Explore this great park that provides a year-round habitat for most mammals and bird species. Enjoy a farewell bush dinner under the star-studded sky on your last night in Africa.
Day 9
After your morning game drive, transfer to the Grumeti airstrip for your scenic flight back to Kilimanjaro airport to catch your flight.
