8 Days: Tanzanian Classic

Day 1

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet your guide & drive to Arusha for overnight.

Day 2

Drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania's most beautiful parks and a sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. The park is littered with majestic baobab trees. Watch animals congregate along the Tarangire river, which provides  permanent water supply for the area. Immerse yourself with a great diversity of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs and up to 6000 elephants. Enjoy your afternoon game drive and camp within the park.

Day 3

Drive to the Serengeti National Park, which is home to the greatest concentration of large mammals on earth. Watch millions of wildebeest and zebras migrate over huge flat plans. Be ready to find lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas and other small predators in action. Enjoy your evening game drive and experience sleeping in the middle of the Serengeti.

Day 4

Take the entire day to explore the Serengeti. Overnight in the Central Serengeti area.

Day 5

An early morning start in the Serengeti to try find the big cats before they retreat away from the blazing mid-day sun. Drive to Ngorongoro crater rim later in the day and stay overnight.

Day 6

Descend into the Ngorongoro crater - a wonderful haven for wildlife. This crater is so unique that almost all the animals live within the crater walls. Immerse yourself in gaming opportunities to prides of lions, cheetahs and other predators. Don’t miss the chance to spot the rhinos or to enjoy your lunch by a pond full of Hippos. Drive to Lake Eyasi for overnight.

Day 7

Lake Eyasi is home to the Bushmen - small ethnic group of hunters and gatherers who speak in “click”. They display the same characteristics as the bushmen of Kalahari in Southern Africa. Both groups are probably the only surviving bushmen throughout Africa. Enjoy hunting with them before driving to a remote Masai village. Upon arrival, get introduced to the entire village. Experience a traditional Masai goat ceremony and dance with the Masai.

Day 8

 Take time to discover the Maasai way of life. Enjoy your morning walk around the region and learn about Masai’s traditional medicines. Watch the Masai Women showcase their art of jewelry making. After lunch commence your drive back to Kilimanjaro airport.
